Boudoir Experience - What to Expect

So you are wondering what really happens on the day of your session? What can you expect with an experience with us? Well this blog will go over it all.

Planning Session

During this session in studio we go over what you are wanting from the session, you try on items from our clients closet if you wish. We go over your order and any add on’s you may like to include. Prior to the session you will have a questionnaire sent to you to fill in to help guide us a little more. But by the end of your one hour planning session you should have your mind at ease knowing what to expect on the day, knowing what you will be wearing and even what you will need to pack.

It is done up to 3 weeks before your Boudoir Experience or for late bookings we can do up to the day before your session.

Boudoir Experience Day

Remember all times are approx. as we never rush our clients on the day. Some take longer to relax so a set may take longer. Each client is a little different so this is just a guideline.

9am - Arrival and have a quick ‘before’ photo taken. Makeup commences.

You sit back and relax with a mimosa, tea, or coffee or all of the above.

10am - Makeup finishes and hair commences.

By the time you are ready you have been in the studio relaxing a while, chatting with the team.

10:30am - We shoot! Guided the whole way. Working with you.

We have an assistant on hand who helps move furniture, help you with dressing, anything we need.

12:30pm - Add On’s - such as the bondage set, wet set, bubble bath set etc.

Some add on’s are done in the house whilst others are done in the studio.

Each have a different time frame with them also.

1pm - 2:30pm - Sessions generally finish anywhere within this time.

Depending on how many add on’s the client has selected and also how comfortable they are in front of the camera.

And sometimes we just take longer because we have too much fun and laugh way too much.

The day is about YOU and we never want you to feel rushed so always say allow school hours for your session 9-3pm.

Viewing Session

This is done generally within a week of your Boudoir Experience date. We make a time for you to come to the office to go over your images and confirm your order. Most ladies at this point have already done a pre purchase so it is either designing their album or confirming images for wall art etc.

At this point your images will be culled and approx. 95% edited. Galleries vary in numbers depending on how many add on’s etc are selected but generally the average gallery would have at least 300 images. The final edits are done for anything that goes to print and is usually minor things but can be time consuming for many images hence why they aren’t done on every single image. Things such as minor bruises and blemish removal or maybe we captured my assistant in the reflection of the mirror ;) This usually takes around an hour.

Order Collection

After your viewing any final edits are done and orders are placed. We tell clients to expect around an 8 week wait currently on albums however this can be quicker. I much prefer clients to have a longer expectation on waiting for items and have a surprise if it arrives early.

And that is a quick rundown on what to expect from our Boudoir Experiences. They are far more than just a photoshoot with so much planning & thought behind each and every session.
