Boudoir & Pregnancy

Having a Boudoir shoot during pregnancy or as a maternity session is ALWAYS an incredible idea. Not only does our body change so much during pregnancy, it is such a special time in our lives. I mean how lucky are we to be able to grow a tiny human?! But for most women it only happens a few times during their lifetime. They make incredible keepsakes for both Mum and bub to look back on in the future. This blog will cover all the commonly asked questions around maternity sessions and go over them more in detail.

Because all of our Boudoir sessions are fully customised to the client, we work with you to create a session that makes sure we achieve exactly what you are hoping to achieve. Maybe it is creating a stunning art piece or maybe just learning to embrace the changes your body is going through at that time in your life.

How Far Along Should I have my Session?

Each lady is really different with maternity/pregnancy sessions. Some ladies get bigger and more uncomfortable quicker and some take much longer to start showing. As a general rule for we recommend around the 32 week mark. This is usually when we have a big enough bump that we can show it off before your start to feel uncomfortable.

In saying that I have done last minute sessions with ladies who are almost at their due date and have totally rocked their sessions! So it really is up to the individual but I just wouldn’t recommend leaving it to the last minute to book in because we may not even be able to fit you in and you may miss out all together.

Expecting Multiples? I always recommend coming in before 30 weeks. Not only do you usually get bigger and uncomfortable a lot quicker, you are also at a higher risk or having your babies early. And we would hate for you to miss out on capturing this special time.

Add On’s - Partners can be Included

For our pregnancy clients, we understand that maybe a bondage set isn’t what you are wanting for that time of your life. I mean totally ok if you do, no judgement here. But I figure that some ladies may like to include their partners for a set and for this special occasion I have made it available with some collections just for our maternity clients.
